Roma Street station is a major hub for both rail and other public transport operations. All South East Queensland passenger rail services operate from Roma Street station. With the introduction of Cross River Rail, a three-sector operating model is to be implemented which will enhance customer accessibility to the inner city and unlock substantial economic benefits. Roma Street station is set to assume a pivotal role in the network as the sole station facilitating interchanges across all three rail sectors. The Roma Street Station Surface Integration (RSSSI) project proposes to undertake upgrades to key elements of the surface station to improve interchange capacity and increase the level of disability compliance.
Delta developed a comprehensive Delivery Strategy for the project, incorporating all procurement activities, contract types and approach to market. The strategy provided a clear, defensible approach to project delivery that aligned with the strategic objectives, funding constraints, risks and stakeholder priorities.
Delta worked collaborately with the projects key stakeholders, including representatives from Procurement, Legal Commercial, Construction Advisor and Technical Advisor; as well as Queensland Rail (the Rail Operator) to validate project information, background, risks as inputs into the strategy assessment and development process.
