LEP was Queensland’s first market-led proposal announced by the State Government.
The $600m road upgrade of the Gateway and Logan Motorways involved upgrading motorway carriageways, interchanges, bridges and ramps including associated ITS, toll infrastructure and upgrades to major State roads and Local Authority roads.
Fauna connectivity in the area was one of the major environment and sustainability goals of the project and the scope consisted of building new wildlife bridges.

Project was awarded the first Leading rating in Queensland by the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA).
